Park Hospital District

This document provides an update on Information Technology strategy and initiatives for 2025, focusing on enhancing cybersecurity, modernizing IT infrastructure, and improving patient services. Key cybersecurity initiatives include the implementation of Threatdown DNS Filtering, PhishER for advanced phishing detection, and SecurityCoach to strengthen awareness. Infrastructure upgrades cover migration to Windows 11, improvements to door and badge access via C-Cure IQ, and enhancement of the HillRom Nurse Call System. Patient service improvements include the introduction of online appointment scheduling.

The meeting agenda included several procedural steps. Initial discussions covered action items presented by Dr. David Batey and general board actions. Public comments were received on items not on the agenda, followed by general board member comments. A significant portion of the agenda involved a motion to enter Executive Session pursuant to C.R.S. sections 24-6-402(4)(e) and 24-6-402(4)(f) to discuss negotiation strategies and personnel matters.

The Executive Session agenda included a call to order, approval of the agenda, and public comments on items not on the agenda. Key discussion items focused on the 2021 Compensation Review and a motion to enter Executive Session specifically for the purpose of discussing personnel matters under Colorado Revised Statutes section 24-6-402(4)(f).

The Estes Park Health Board of Directors convened in a Special Executive Session, held via teleconference only, to discuss matters subject to negotiations, develop negotiation strategy, and address personnel matters, as permitted under Colorado Revised Statutes.

The special session addressed several agenda items, including an action item presented by Cory Workman and an action item related to the EPH Board. Discussion topics included the rental/district contract employee for the Park Hospital District Office and the Affiliation Process, including key dates.
