Project contemplated consists of 1.Demolition of high lift pumping and electrical equipment and installation of new electrical equipment in the existing High Lift Pump Station. 2.Demolition of backwash waste pumping and equipment and installation of new backwash waste pumping and equipment in the existing Backwash Recovery Basin. 3.Demolition of an existing metering vault. 4.Construction of a new, multi-level Pump Station including: a.Intermediate, high lift, and backwash vertical turbine pumps, b.Intermediate pump wetwells, c.Ultraviolet (UV) room with UV disinfection units and associated piping to new Chlorine Contact (CT) Tank, d.Fluoride room with fluoride chemical storage and feed equipment, e.Electrical room with new electrical equipment, including motor control centers and adjustable frequency drives, f.Overhead bridge crane and monorails for equipment handling, g.Surge control tank system, h.Pre-engineered sump pump system, and i.Walkway connecting the new Pump Station to the existing Water Treatment Plant. 5.Construction of a new, above grade, cast-in-place concrete CT Tank supported on piles. 6.Modification of an existing 2.4kV generator to support 480V service in the existing Water Treatment Plant. 7.Modification of the existing Water Treatment Plant to connect to the new CT Tank and to disconnect from the existing, below grade CT Tank. 8.Installation of yard piping connecting the new Pump Station and CT Tank to the existing water system. 9.Installation of security equipment, systems, and perimeter fencing for the new facilities. 10.Management of soil excavation, earth retention, shoring and protection of the existing facilities, and sitework for the new stormwater facilities, access road, and landscaping, including contaminated soil which will be managed on site. 11.Management of sequence of Work to ensure that the existing Water Treatment Plant and all associated services remain online and fully operational throughout the duration of the Project. All work will be awarded in a single contract. The Work will be completed in all respects within 1,095 calendar days from the date when the Contract Times commence to run.
