Monroe County Conservation District

This document outlines the Monroe Conservation District's 5-Year Conservation Needs Assessment (CNA) and Strategic Plan for 2022-2027. It serves as a roadmap for the District's efforts by first providing an overview of Monroe County's natural resources, followed by an assessment of conservation needs based on stakeholder engagement and survey results. The plan establishes five core goals: to assist residents with water quality improvement, support agricultural preservation and best farmland practices, provide aid for invasive species management, assist landowners with forestry management, and increase the District's visibility and public knowledge of natural resources. The overall aim is to guide the District's programs and assistance to address identified natural resource and environmental concerns.
