Lurgan Township

The Annual Reorganization Meeting addressed several administrative and operational decisions for the Township. Key actions included the nomination and election of the Chairman and Vice Chairman, affirmation of Supervisors as roadmasters, laborers, and equipment operators, and the appointment of the Secretary/Treasurer, Assistant Treasurer, Solicitor, Engineer, Sewage Enforcement Officer, Code Enforcement Officer, and various representatives to county bodies. Compensation and benefits for the Secretary/Treasurer were established, alongside hourly wage rates for labor employees and the mileage reimbursement rate. The Board also selected fund depositories, established regular monthly meeting dates, determined the Treasurer's Bond amount, set fees for licenses and ordinances, authorized contributions to the two fire companies and two ambulance companies, established a contribution for the Lurgan Township Recreation Center parking lot, and set a donation amount for the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter. Finally, the Board authorized the payment of payroll and invoices before regular meetings if due, appointed Township Auditors and a Deputy Tax Collector, and scheduled the 2027 Reorganizational meeting.
