The USDA Forest Service issued a prospectus soliciting applications for a concession campground special use permit to operate and maintain approximately 20 government-owned recreation facilities across the Lincoln National Forest. The offering covers campgrounds, group campgrounds, picnic areas, a day-use site, and an equestrian campground, and will be issued under the Granger-Thye framework allowing permit holders to offset land use fees with approved maintenance and improvement work. Applications are due April 27, 2026, and the permit includes operational, insurance, and financial requirements with a minimum annual land use fee and an initial term up to five years with possible extension.
