Key areas of focus include strategies for improving academic outcomes, equitable teacher distribution, and the implementation of antiracist and culturally sustaining educational practices to foster inclusive learning environments and support diverse staff.

This policy establishes a clear mission statement for the charter school, founded on community beliefs and values, to guide decisions and change efforts. The Minnesota Math and Science Academy (MMSA) is dedicated to college preparation through a rigorous curriculum focused on reading, mathematics, science, and technology. The mission aims to foster an effective learning environment characterized by mutual respect, clear goals, and a culture that celebrates learning. The vision is ambitious, targeting high proficiency in state tests, high student and staff retention rates, excellent parent and student satisfaction, active community involvement, productive partnerships, and engaging extracurricular activities, all supported by a strong character education program.
