The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Eastern Acquisition Division, issued a Notice of Intent to Sole Source for the procurement and installation of additional Water Vapor Sensing System II (WVSS-II) sensors on existing commercial aircraft to expand the meteorological data available to the National Weather Service (NWS). The intended sole source contract modification extends existing Contract No. 1305M225P0238 with FLYHT, Inc., which market research has identified as the only manufacturer of newly manufactured WVSS-II sensors. This is not a request for competitive proposals, but all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit capability information in writing by July 8, 2026 at 3:00 PM Eastern Time; responses are for the Government's discretionary use in deciding whether to compete the requirement.
