Project consists of the construction of a 54-foot by 204-foot concrete compost area with aeration trenches and 8-foot tall concrete bunker walls, installation of a positively and negatively aerated biolayer Covered Aerated Static Pile (CASP) composting system, which includes mechanical and electrical component installation, blowers, and aeration piping. The CASP composting system has been pre-procured by the Owner. The project also includes the construction of a 12-foot by 12-foot prefabricated utility building, contact water collection and distribution systems, connection and extension of existing water service line, and gravel and asphalt working areas. Additionally, the project requires the decommissioning, transfer, installation, and startup of the District’s existing compost mixer/conveyor system from the West Yellowstone Transfer Station.

The successful compost equipment supplier must provide schematic drawings for the procurement of a general contractor. The successful general contractor will work with the compost supplier to construct the compost system.
