Franconia Sewer Authority
Construction of approx. 12,200 LF of 2-, 3- and 4" low pressure sanitary sewer main and appurtenances, including road/site restoration and extension of services to roughly 115 properties. The 2-, 3- and 4" pressure sewer shall be SDR-21 PVC pipe or SDR-11 HDPE pipe. Contractor may select the method of pipe installation, such as open-trenching with backhoe/excavator, open-trenching with chain trenching machine, directional drilling, or other methods in the range of these options. Regardless of installation method, upon familiarization with site conditions and prior to mobilization, Contractor shall provide Engineer with an intended installation plan which shows intended method of pipe installation for each length of pipe (mains and laterals) for the entire project, including proposed step-by-step schedule for such installation. Installation plan shall also stipulate method of lateral-to-main connection (e.g., electro-fusion, etc.) for each unique connection involving the various lateral-to-main diameters.
