The Work shall be completed under one Contract and consists of all labor, skill and materials required to properly construct the Project. The major elements of work associated with the project include, but are not limited to: Demolition of an existing 400 GPM self-priming centrifugal pump, process pipe, fittings, valves, and appurtenances located within the existing pump station; Installation of a new intake structure and intake screen with a capacity of up to 2,000 GPM and located within Burntside Lake; Installation of a new 16", DR11, HDPE gravity transmission pipeline from the new intake screen to the existing pump station located on shore (approx. length of 525 LF); Installation of various buried site ductile iron pipe, fittings, valves, and appurtenances to connect the new intake pipe to the pump station process piping; Installation of various ductile iron process pipe, fittings, valves, and appurtenances inside of the existing pump station to connect the new pump to the suction and discharge piping; Installation of a new vacuum prime assisted self-priming centrifugal raw water pump with a rated capacity of 1,000 GPM including a new variable frequency drive and a new simplex air compressor for the vacuum assist system; Various electrical improvements to provide power to the new raw water pump and appurtenances; Various structural improvements to accommodate installation of the new pump and appurtenances including converting an existing exterior single door to a new double door as well as concrete equipment pads for the new equipment; and Related site work, site grading, rip rap at the shoreline, seeding, and restoration work.
