District Township

The meeting included discussion regarding the next EBJCP meeting. A plan was presented for a variance request, and the Planning Commission decided to report to the Zoning Hearing Board that they do not see any planning issues with it.

The Board of Supervisors of District Township, Berks County, PA, will hold a public hearing, followed by a regular meeting to consider an ordinance revising supervisor compensation in accordance with revised amounts approved by the Pennsylvania Legislature. The ordinance sets compensation on a per meeting basis, not to exceed $3,145.00 annually, with a per-meeting amount of $262.08, payable monthly for no more than 12 meetings per year. The compensation applies to supervisors entering office after the effective date of the ordinance.

The meeting covered the ratification of the Solar Ordinance and SALDO, with hard copies to be provided to board members at the next meeting.

The meeting included the appointment of the Planning Commission Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, and Secretary for 2025.
