The Wayne County Airport Authority Board approved the Fiscal Year 2014 Budget, a $326 million financial operating plan for Detroit Metropolitan Airport, Willow Run Airport, and the Airport Westin Hotel. The budget focuses on operational excellence and investment for future growth, with a shift from cost containment to a growth mode. Key areas of focus include customer satisfaction, operational excellence, regional development and growth, employee development, and financial stability. The budget addresses airline activity, passenger traffic, non-airline revenues, and capital improvement projects for both Detroit Metropolitan Airport and Willow Run Airport.
