The Economic Development Authority conducted a meeting that included a public hearing and the adoption of an inducement resolution and modification resolution for the Heights at Jackson Village Revenue Bonds. Discussions covered the authorization of the assignment of Kalahari payments, the treasurer's report regarding financial constraints and funding requests for a school field trip, and reports on a planned business appreciation event. Additionally, the authority reviewed developments regarding the Back 40 property and provided updates on various local construction and commercial projects, including the Spotsy Tech park data center and the scheduled opening of Kalahari.

The committee discussed the status of various IT public safety projects, the strategic plan for Fire, Rescue, and Emergency Management (FREM), and the FREM staffing plan. New business included the election of a chairperson and/or vice chairperson, a welcome for new Board of Supervisors members, a review of the committee's charge, and the establishment of a radio review sub-committee.
