Auburn City Council City Council Recap
The council recognized city employees with service awards and an employee of the month. Key agenda items included the approval of an alcohol beverage license for a new restaurant, the adoption of a transportation plan for FY2027 under the Rebuild Alabama Act, and approval of contracts with Granicus for streaming services and SHI International for network equipment. The council also appointed election officials, authorized the issuance of general obligation bonds for the new Plains High School construction, approved the sale of property for a new school bus facility, and sanctioned tax abatements for industrial expansions by Inx Battery Solutions and Sohan. Additionally, contracts with the Davenport group for server infrastructure were approved.
