Maryland Statewide Interoperability Radio Control Board Quarterly Public Meeting
The board approved two new user applications: the Franklin County (PA) Department of Emergency Services as an Interoperability User and the Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall Directorate of Emergency Services as a Limited-Primary User. Project updates were provided regarding the status of geo-redundant prime go-lives, various new RF site developments, bi-directional amplifier projects, and fiber backhaul implementation. Operations reports covered system performance statistics, including call volume and airtime, as well as ongoing maintenance activities, coverage investigations in Frederick and Washington counties, and the migration to Juniper routers. The board also reviewed the progress of the Motorola Managed Detection and Response deployment, virtualized prime site controller cutovers, and the Genesis system upgrade. Additionally, committee updates addressed interoperability resource coordination, site security working group initiatives, and considerations for TDMA-only versus FDMA operations.
