The board meeting covered various topics, including a bond refinancing update, preliminary drawings for a proposed health and wellness center, and a discussion on potential funding through donations. Updates were also provided on EV bus cabinet installation and the district's recognition as a Top Workplace. CESA updates were shared, and various motions were made and carried regarding the approval of an audit contract, summer school courses and appointments, donations for the locker room project, a contract for a school psychologist, resignations of teachers, administrative contract extensions, and compensation recommendations. A closed session was held to discuss administrative contract extensions, renewals, and/or modifications.
The board meeting included reports on safety drills, a legislative update, and financial reports. Discussions covered concerns about police presence, updates on student programs, and fall sports. The board approved purchases of door hardware, playground equipment, horns and strobes, and authorized staff access to educational records. A 66.03 agreement with Mayville School District was approved, along with the retirement of an employee. A new program, CrisisGo, was also discussed.
The board convened into a closed session to interview district administrator candidates.
