Appalachian State University's Quality Enhancement Plan, titled "Pathways to Resilience," focuses on climate literacy to prepare students for a just and resilient future amidst anthropogenic climate change. The plan aims to develop and implement a transformational climate curriculum, including new introductory and upper-level courses, a Climate Studies minor, and opportunities for climate-related research and co-curricular engagement. The strategic pillars include enhancing student learning through specific courses, fostering climate engagement, and supporting curriculum development with faculty programs. The intended outcomes are to equip every graduate to contribute to positive climate actions, advance the university's mission, and establish App State as a national leader in climate resilience education.

The Master Plan 2025 is a guide for the physical development of the Appalachian State University campus over the next twenty years. It addresses space for academics and support for students, faculty, and staff, while also protecting and broadening the campus's beauty and sustainability. The plan includes recommendations for new buildings, upgrades to roads, and open space enhancements, all informed by campus analysis, community input, and the University's Strategic Plan.
