Saint Vincent College Investment Strategy
This document details the investment and distribution strategy for Saint Vincent College's endowment. The primary objective is to preserve and grow the endowment's inflation-adjusted value in perpetuity, generating returns that exceed annual spending plus inflation, to support the College's long-term strategic priorities, scholarships, student programs, and academic initiatives. The strategy emphasizes a long-term, globally diversified investment approach with allocations to equities, fixed income, and selective alternative investments. Key components include adopting a 'total return' concept for distributions (3% to 7% of a three-year rolling average), leveraging commingled funds for efficiency and access to specialized managers, and implementing robust governance and oversight through the Board of Trustees and Investment Committee.
