El Dorado County Office Of Education Plan For Providing Educational Services To Expelled Students 2021-2024
This plan outlines the collaborative approach of El Dorado County and its school districts to provide educational services for expelled students. It addresses legislative updates, high-impact strategies (MTSS, restorative practices, trauma-informed practices, career education), existing district alternatives, factors impacting district-level alternatives, and El Dorado County Office of Education (EDCOE) alternatives, specifically the Charter College and Career Prep (CCP) program. The plan details the referral and return-to-district processes for expelled students, including special education students and incarcerated students. It also reviews gaps in services and strategies for improvement, focusing on supporting students with mental health needs and improving inter-agency collaboration. The plan includes data on expulsion, suspension, truancy, and dropout rates.
