The Board of Trustees met in a special session to conduct a closed session meeting. The primary agenda item addressed during the closed session was the performance evaluation of the Superintendent, which included the participation of an external consultant. Following the closed session, the Board reconvened to open session to report that the evaluation process had taken place, with no reportable actions recorded.

The Board reviewed human resources recruitment processes and heard reports from the Association of Cypress Teachers and the Cypress Council PTA. Action items included approval of a consulting contract for behavioral assessments, a revised job description and salary adjustment, the 2024/25 Facilities Master Plan, and Comprehensive School Safety Plans. Additionally, the Board authorized an agreement for bus tracking software, filed a notice of completion for a renovation project, approved governance consulting services, and updated various Board policies and bylaws. The Board also determined the process for filling a vacancy for Trustee Area C and reviewed district mission, vision, and goals.

The Board participated in a Leadership/Educational Partners Workshop facilitated by a consultant from the California School Boards Association. The workshop was held to discuss district strengths, needs, and opportunities to enhance the educational program.

The board conducted a regular meeting featuring several key agenda items. The session included closed session discussions regarding labor negotiations and a superintendent evaluation, followed by recognition awards for the district's Teacher of the Year and Classified Employee of the Year nominees and winners. Board members shared reports on various community and school events. Action items approved included service agreements for grant programs, a contract agreement with the Association of Cypress Teachers, and revisions to classified job descriptions and salary adjustments. The board also conducted public hearings for bargaining proposals, ratified a certificated substitute salary schedule, approved a 2025/26 Transportation Services Plan, and awarded a master agreement for a concrete and asphalt project. Additionally, the second interim financial report was approved, votes were cast for the California School Boards Association Delegate Assembly, and an updated governance handbook was adopted. The board also held a discussion regarding potential workforce housing projects.

The Board of Trustees held a meeting at the Juliet Morris Elementary School for the purpose of a school site visit. The primary objective of the visit was to observe school operations and monitor the district's educational program.
