DePaul University Strategic Plan 2024
DePaul University's strategic plan, titled "Grounded in Mission: The Plan for DePaul 2024," outlines the institution's direction to become unequaled among U.S. urban universities by 2024. The plan is structured around six core strategic priorities: deepening the university's Catholic, Vincentian, and urban mission; ensuring a welcoming, diverse, and inclusive campus; preparing students for global citizenship and success; expanding access to high-quality, affordable academic programs; elevating academic excellence and fostering creativity; and employing bold approaches to secure fiscal strength. The overarching goal is to transform individuals and communities through education, collective engagement, and innovation, with a focus on serving a diverse community of students.

This document details the quinquennial review process for DePaul University's mission statement. The review, which began in Spring 2020, aimed to reflect on the university's identity and shape its future direction in the 21st century. It involved extensive community input and reaffirmed core Vincentian values, including the sacred dignity of all individuals, a personalist approach to education, a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, public service, and dedicated attention to the needs of the poor and marginalized. The revised mission statement, to be revealed in Spring 2021, will also integrate contemporary challenges such as environmental sustainability, non-violence, and interfaith/intercultural dialogue, with the overarching goal of preparing socially responsible leaders and fostering a more just and compassionate world.
