Granbury City Council Council Meeting
The council meeting focused on the intercity agreement with Hood County regarding police dispatch services. Discussion centered on a proposed 376% cost increase for these services, which city staff deemed unexpected and unsupported. The council reviewed the history of the agreement, the failure of the county to form a required advisory board, and concerns regarding potential double-taxation of city residents. Staff recommended demanding a detailed justification for the proposed fee, re-establishing the advisory board, and negotiating a mutually acceptable financial arrangement.

The second hearing concerned a new wall sign, which the commission approved on the condition that it be installed using existing support without creating new holes.
