This document outlines the procedure for evaluating the Superintendent's performance, including the use of an evaluation instrument, rating the superintendent's performance as satisfactory or unsatisfactory, providing explanations and recommendations for improvement if necessary, and discussing the evaluation with the Superintendent after approval. The process involves twice-yearly board meetings to discuss and approve evaluations, with the Board President responsible for disseminating the instrument, collecting completed evaluations, and copying comments onto a collective evaluation. Discrepancies in ratings are to be discussed and decided by a majority vote. Post-approval procedures include a discussion with the Superintendent, providing a written copy, and filing the evaluation in the Superintendent's personnel record.
