The Quanah Junior High Campus Improvement Plan aims to provide a rigorous, student-centered education that promotes academic excellence, personal integrity, and lifelong learning, preparing students for high school success and responsible citizenship. Key strategic areas include ensuring safe and well-maintained facilities, recruiting and retaining excellent faculty and staff, aligning curriculum to meet evolving educational needs (including college/career readiness), implementing strategies to achieve high standards on state assessments, developing an effective technology system for management and instruction, and encouraging robust parent involvement through communication and inclusive programs. The plan seeks to cultivate a culture of growth where every student is challenged, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential.

The board conducted the official canvass of election results, administered oaths of office, and elected board officers for the upcoming term. Key actions included the approval of a local policy update concerning personnel employment, a memorandum of agreement with Hardeman County, and advertising for an architect for the community safe rooms project. The board also authorized updates to school financial account signatories. During the meeting, the board reviewed various departmental reports, honored community members with media awards, and discussed delinquent tax collection services. Additionally, the board accepted several employee resignations and approved the hiring of new staff members, alongside discussing the relocation of a safe room project and potential training options.

The board recognized student achievements in drama and athletics, as well as naming Teachers of the 6 Weeks. The board reviewed several administrative reports including budget-to-actual comparisons, investment earnings, enrollment, campus activity, and updates from school administrators and the technology and athletic departments. Action was taken to approve a redemption deed for the Hardeman County Appraisal District, a cement bid for the high school dome, and various employment contracts for staff at Reagan Elementary, Travis Middle School, Quanah High School, and Greenbelt SSA.

The board conducted a public hearing regarding the Texas Academic Performance Report and recognized extracurricular achievements in football and agriculture mechanics. They reviewed various administrative reports including budget-to-actual comparisons, investment earnings, enrollment data, campus activity, technology initiatives, safety updates, and athletic programs. Furthermore, the board held an executive session and subsequently voted to approve contract extensions for the Elementary, Middle, and High School Principals and the Athletic Director. Additionally, a contract was approved for the Special Education Director, and a 3% salary increase was authorized for several district administrators.

The board reviewed various administrative and financial reports, including budget-to-actual comparisons, pledged securities, investment earnings, student enrollment, and campus activities. The Superintendent provided an update on new staff hires and bond information. Formal approvals were granted for Budget Amendment #4, a bank lending authorization letter, and a resolution granting extracurricular status to the 4-H organization along with the appointment of an adjunct faculty member. Additionally, the board approved tax deeds for the Hardeman County Appraisal District, budget transfers between functions, student transfers, the 2024-2025 substitute teacher list, and a new micro-purchasing threshold.
