Htl University Strategic Plan
The HTL University strategic plan aims to reimagine the education-to-workforce pipeline in Haywood, Tipton, and Lauderdale Counties, Tennessee, in response to the BlueOval City development. The plan focuses on ensuring every student graduates with a valuable credential (associate degree, TCAT degree, progress toward a 4-year degree, or apprenticeship), equipping educators to support students with STEM skills and postsecondary navigation, and informing families about career opportunities. The proposal includes integrating project-based learning, creating innovation studios, offering STEM extracurriculars, implementing rigorous math and science curricula, expanding dual enrollment, enhancing career pathways (especially mechatronics), providing comprehensive advising, and fostering family connections through various initiatives. The plan requires a significant investment ($3 million for launch and $4 million annually for maintenance) and relies on strong partnerships, accountability, and transparency for success.
