Vob Committee and Council Committee and Council Meetings
The meetings covered sessions for both the Rules Committee and the Safety Committee. The Rules Committee deliberated on the codification of ordinances, proposed amendments to council chapters concerning committee chairperson duties and order of business, and discussed the removal of the oral or silent prayer from proceedings. The committee also debated the suspension of the three-reading rule for ordinances. The Safety Committee reviewed 2026 workplace accident goals and received updates from the police department regarding facility maintenance, preparation for community events, and the upcoming school schedule. Furthermore, the committee evaluated the enforcement of municipal ordinances regarding the use of electric fences for animal containment.
