The meeting included reports on the Area Plan update, Medicaid/Medical funding reductions, and the Food Collaborative Report from the Contra Costa Food Bank. Updates were provided regarding the local senior food distribution program, AARP Tax Aide services, and senior club activities. A presentation was delivered on the mission and services of Choice in Aging. Additionally, the commission reviewed updates to its Work Plan and discussed speaker scheduling for upcoming meetings.

The committee reviewed the 2026 concert season and community events, discussed methods and desired outcomes for community event outreach, specifically focusing on engaging performance groups, and noted an announcement regarding the City Manager's upcoming retirement.

The committee held a regular meeting that included an orientation on the Brown Act provided by the City Attorney's staff. The committee conducted the selection of a committee chair and a minutes recorder. Additionally, the general manager provided a report on the current concert season and community events. There was a discussion regarding outreach strategies for local schools, and the meeting concluded with a tour of the pavilion venue.

The meeting included reports on the Housing Committee, the ACOA general meeting, and updates from the Center Advisory Board regarding Senior Center programming and organizational leadership transitions. A presentation was provided by Creating New Hope Senior Living Advisors regarding their services for seniors. In old business, a partnership was established with the Concord Main Rotary Club for a holiday gift-giving program, and officer elections were held for the positions of Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary, and Liaison. The Commission also approved rescheduling a future regular meeting to a special session due to a scheduling conflict.

The scheduled meeting of the Community Services Commission was officially cancelled.
