This joint session of the City Council and Planning and Zoning Commission included presentations and proclamations for Child Abuse Prevention Month and Krum High School Band Day. Consent agenda items covered approval of minutes from previous meetings, an ordinance amending utility fees, acceptance of a resignation from the Planning and Zoning Commission, and correction of a previous ordinance. Planning and Zoning Commission items included a site plan request for a fast food restaurant. Regular items for the City Council included discussion of a financial audit, bids for street and sewer line repairs, and a sign variance request. Executive session items involved obtaining advice from the City Attorney regarding the 1877 Journey project and the Briar Grove Development. Discussion items included the future of the Fire/Police Department, the new City Hall, water quality, a Historical Preservation Advisory Board, traffic calming protocols, the Denton County Master Fire Plan, a town hall meeting, an HR monthly report, and substandard and vacant homes.
