Key discussions during the meeting included student celebrations, such as recognizing students at NBMHS. Public comment focused significantly on the Special Education (SPED) department, with advocacy for retaining the Director, Mary Donaldson, and concerns raised regarding technology issues impacting SPED teachers. The meeting commenced with the Pledge of Allegiance and the reading of the Nome Public Schools Mission Statement.
