Personnel actions were taken, such as accepting resignations, promoting staff to public works director, hiring police officers, and approving training conference attendance. Financial approvals included reimbursements, utility invoice payments, electric rate adjustments, writing off streetlight bills, and approving various purchase requisitions for city departments. The mayor and board also discussed park renovations, the five-year plan, and city utility operations. An executive session was held to discuss delinquent loans, cemetery plots, and pending litigation.

The board approved an insurance premium quote for the city's commercial package policy. Furthermore, payments were authorized for two police officers regarding suspension days, and the payment for the city's American Express corporate card was approved. The board also established a new policy requiring all incoming mail to be stamped and verified with the date of receipt.
