The City Council meeting included an update on the community-driven homelessness initiative, Greenville Together, and established a plan for providing recurring monthly reports. The council performed various board and commission appointments and conducted several legislative actions, including the approval of ordinances to annex property and provide zoning designations, the approval of a development agreement for sewer system improvements, and the abandonment of portions of unimproved right-of-way on Darwin Avenue and Rector Street. Discussions were held regarding green space preservation and addressing concerns from property owners related to right-of-way abandonment.

The council held a formal meeting where they recognized Judge Matt Holly Jr. for his thirty years of judicial service and passed a resolution to name a courtroom in his honor at the new City Public Works Campus and Municipal Complex. Additionally, the council appointed a member to the City Planning Commission and discussed the city's 2040 plan regarding budget priorities, including affordable housing investments, open space protection, and mobility infrastructure projects.

The City Council meeting included an annexation request for the Judson Mill area, which is a mixed-use development. Council approved the appropriation of hospitality tax funds for the Lake Conestee Dam restoration project, an ordinance to annex property, the abandonment of surplus right-of-way, a lease renewal for Tupelo Honey Hospitality Corporation, and the funding of a generator for a new resilience hub at the Nickeltown community center. Additionally, the Council certified an abandoned building location for tax credit purposes, adopted priorities for the 2027 fiscal year, and authorized the acquisition of properties for the downtown Falls Park Conference Center project.

The City Council conducted elections for the positions of Mayor Pro Tem and Vice Mayor Pro Tem. A public hearing was held regarding the proposed abandonment of right-of-way portions on Darwin Avenue and Recctor Street to facilitate a 20-unit townhome development. Additionally, the Council approved an ordinance to appropriate funds for the Emergency Watershed Protection Program, passed a cost-of-living adjustment for the firefighters' pension fund, amended the pension fund plan code, and authorized the annexation of real property on Willard Street to streamline sanitation services and property management.

The City Council meeting included the signing of a statement of support for the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve. A public hearing was held for the fiscal year 2026-2027 annual operating budget. The council discussed ongoing efforts to secure and develop open space within the city, particularly in the West End neighborhood. Furthermore, the meeting featured a recognition ceremony for graduating seniors from the Youth Commission and the inaugural cohort of the Teen Leadership Academy.
