The City of Pittsfield's master plan focuses on conservation connections, including expanding privately-held open space and ensuring developers preserve open space continuity. The 2024-2025 Taconic High School Improvement Plan focuses on transitioning teaching and learning from a traditional model to one that fosters deep and durable learning. Key areas of focus include developing a comprehensive team of teachers and staff, implementing the Portrait of a Graduate competencies (with an emphasis on critical thinking), improving literacy skills, and engaging in cooperative learning.
