The Board of Education meeting notes included several key items. A presentation was given on the Oak Ridge Family Read Night, detailing the event's theme based on the Pixar movie "Inside Out" and its high attendance. A Glen Oaks 2nd grader, Saif Ali, was recognized by the Board for demonstrating kindness and respect. The Board approved the annual tax levy, which included setting the levy to incorporate the 2.9% inflationary increase allowed under PTELL, continuing Property Tax Relief Grant #2, and abating an additional $2.7 million. Additionally, two new hires were announced for the roles of District Spanish Bilingual Parent Liaison and Paraprofessional.

The Board approved the FY 2026 budget and the 2025-2026 Strategic Plan. They also approved an intergovernmental agreement to co-sponsor the Howl Through the Hills 5k Run/Walk with the City of Hickory Hills. New hires were announced and approved by the Board of Education.

The open session covered the amended FY21 budget, including adjustments to administrative expenditures, TRS revenue and expenditure estimates, fund transfers, and capital project adjustments. The board also approved the hiring of additional bilingual paraprofessionals and parent liaisons, and addressed unfinished learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Finally, a resolution authorizing intervention in property tax appeal board proceedings was adopted, and the July 20, 2021 board meeting was cancelled.

The board meeting involved discussions and decisions on employment matters, including the appointment of Sean Joyce as Assistant Principal of Conrady Jr. High and Gadeer Jalal as Teacher Clerk at the same school. A letter of understanding was approved with the ESP union regarding a job category change. The official results of the April 7, 2015 election were accepted. The meeting concluded with the board bidding farewell to Mrs. Pavloski and a citizen expressing thanks for her service. A second meeting involved the election of a president, vice president, and secretary, and the approval of a board meeting calendar.

Future facility improvements at Oak Ridge were also approved, along with a change to student attendance hours at Glen Oaks and Oak Ridge. A FOIA request was addressed, and updates were provided on various committee meetings and activities. The July board meeting was cancelled.
