Progress on the Second Chance Grant Act was presented, focusing on the implementation of a Statewide Adult Recidivism Reduction Strategic Plan. Recommendations were made to support a Statewide Re-Entry initiative meeting and to request the Governor's Office to require the parole board to release inmates within 30 days of their parole date to ensure wraparound services.
