The North Bay Village Transportation Action Plan outlines an ambitious strategy to create a more livable, resilient, and safer transportation network. Structured around three guiding principles—Livability, Resilience, and Prosperity—the plan focuses on modernizing critical infrastructure, enhancing pedestrian and bicyclist safety, and improving public transit. Key commitments include achieving zero roadway fatalities and serious injuries by 2026.

The resolution primarily focuses on approving an updated fee schedule for various administrative services, building permits, and zoning fees within North Bay Village. This includes fees for copies and services, development approvals, community contributions, building and permits, business tax receipts, police services, public works, lobbyist registration, and short-term vacation rentals. The changes aim to update various fees as described in the agenda memorandum.

The resolution addresses the selection of CBIZ CPAS P.C. for municipal auditing services following Request for Proposals No. 2025-003. The Auditor Selection Committee ranked CBIZ CPAS P.C. as the most qualified firm to provide the services. The Village Manager is authorized to negotiate and execute an agreement with the Consultant. The resolution also includes authorizations for the Village Manager to negotiate and execute an agreement with the next highest ranked firm if an agreement cannot be reached with the Consultant.

The NBV100 Master Plan focuses on equipping North Bay Village with the tools to become a more livable, sustainable, and prosperous community that can adapt to the challenges of a changing climate. The plan is structured around three pillars: Livability, Resilience, and Prosperity. It includes updates to zoning codes for single-family residential homes and high-density multifamily buildings, as well as initiatives for North Bay Island. The plan aims to create attractive neighborhoods, increase resilience to floodwaters, attract economic development, synergize public spaces, and increase property values.
