The board approved the hiring of Stephen Rohan as Assistant Principal of MRHS, Amber Guerrieri as a 3rd Grade Teacher, Stacy Durig as 6th Grade Teacher, Julia Semple as Band/Music teacher, Nicolina Baker as Intervention Specialist, and Jennifer Reed as Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. The board also approved the resignations of Lauren Billett, Tyler McNamara, Billie Cocca, Wilma Sylak and Shelly Rummell. Furthermore, Justin Aleshire was approved as a Custodian and Kristie Steyer as a Weathersfield Administrative Assistant. Matt Cluse and Nick Flaviano were approved as Varsity Girls Basketball Coach and Varsity Boys Golf Coach, respectively. The board approved various supplemental positions for the 2025-2026 school year and substitute positions. Alia Kover was approved as Varsity Cheerleading HC. The Financial Reports for May 2025 and the May 2025 submission of the Five-Year Forecast were approved. A resolution was passed establishing a Termination Benefits Fund.

The Weathersfield Local Board of Education meeting covered various organizational matters, including the election of board officers (President and Vice-President), appointments for the year (OSBA conference delegates, legislative liaison, student achievement liaison, township liaison), designation of the official newspaper, authorization for the superintendent to hire staff between meetings, approval to participate in the OSBA Legal Assistance Fund, tentative meeting dates for 2021, approval of the Trumbull County ESC substitute teacher list, setting fees for copies of meeting materials, authorization for the treasurer to invest interim funds and request advances from the county auditor, authorization for the treasurer to issue warrants for contractual obligations, authorization for the treasurer to prepare blanket certificates, establishment of a service fund for EMIS, and designation of public records designees.

The board meeting covered various topics, including the approval of the 2021-2022 school calendar; a three-year contract with the Weathersfield Police Department for a School Resource Officer (SRO); hiring and contract renewals for several staff members, including teachers, psychologists, and other personnel; approval of non-certified contracts; acceptance of a resignation; approval of supplemental positions; non-renewal of certain supplemental and substitute positions; hiring of athletic coaches; hiring for website maintenance; approval of building use permits; approval of financial reports for March 2021; acceptance of a donation for the turf field project; approval of a payment in lieu; and various other administrative matters.

The board meeting included the hiring of a substitute teacher and several supplemental positions for the 2020-2021 school year. A number of supplemental positions were also non-renewed. Financial reports were approved, and advanced funds were returned to the general fund from various accounts. A resolution was approved accepting tax rates determined by the budget commission.
