This document, 'Planning for Success: A Guide to Special Education,' outlines the Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board's comprehensive approach to special education services. It details the mission to build faith-filled learning communities where each member is loved, inspired, and successful, and a vision to empower all to reach their full potential through faith and service. Key areas include a tiered service delivery model for early identification and intervention, roles and responsibilities in special education, the Identification, Placement, and Review Committee (IPRC) process, various assessment types, specialized health support services, categories of exceptionalities, and diverse placement options. It also covers the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs), staff development, accessibility, and transportation. The plan aims to provide equitable access to learning opportunities, foster an inclusive Catholic school community, and ensure that students with exceptionalities receive appropriate programs and services to achieve their goals and succeed.

The meeting included the treasurer's report, where the Final Audited Financial Statements for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2022, and the Audit Findings Report issued by Wilkinson & Company LLP were shared. Wilkinson & Company LLP was reappointed as auditors for the year ending March 31, 2023. There was no new business.

The meeting included a Treasurer's Update with a detailed overview of the Revenue and Expenditure Report Summary for the 5-month period ended August 31, 2018. The Executive Director reported on the success of the 2018 Director's Annual Charity Golf Tournament, which raised $20,200. A summary report on the Emergency Response Fund as at August 31, 2018, was provided. The Executive Director shared correspondence from an emergency response fund recipient expressing gratitude for the support received from the Foundation and provided an update on promotional materials developed for the Foundation. The Directors discussed fundraising ideas due to the annual fund raising revenue from the golf tournament not keeping pace with the increasing number of families that the foundation is helping.
