The committee reviewed the proposed budgets for the upcoming school year for Conneaut Lake Elementary School and Conneaut Valley Elementary School. Discussion was held regarding a proposal to replace student lockers at Conneaut Area Middle School, including cost estimates, potential summer installation, and funding sources. The committee also discussed a request from local township supervisors to participate in an audit of tax collections.

The meeting involved the review of various facility projects across the district, including completed tasks like maintenance on garage shelving, boilers, and gym sound systems, as well as current and future projects such as lighting control system removals, equipment purchases, flooring upgrades, and playground improvements. Key discussions included the potential procurement of a maintenance trailer and a scissor lift, as well as a presentation regarding an energy savings grant. The committee approved the purchase of a maintenance trailer and decided to cancel a future meeting.

The committee discussed several athletic initiatives, including the development of a mission statement for district sports, middle school soccer scheduling and participation, and the potential addition of a girls' lacrosse program. Further discussions covered establishing entrance gates for stadium sports, storage solutions for sports equipment at Schaffer, the digitization and improvement of supplemental forms for coaches, and the possibility of the school providing physical exams for athletes. Additionally, the committee reviewed the redesign of high school trophy cases and addressed facilities and general athletic matters.

The committee discussed and updated various policies, including revisions to non-sufficient funds, interscholastic athletics, facilities planning, and maintenance. Several policies, such as those regarding therapy dogs, federal fiscal compliance, sanitary management, and facilities and workplace safety, were reviewed, with plans to revisit some in the next session. The committee also conducted reviews of policies concerning gifts, grants, donations, and mandatory requirements for physical changes to facilities and grounds.

The committee meeting addressed a wide range of facility management topics. Discussions covered a review of recently completed maintenance projects, such as uni-vent repairs, kitchen repairs, drainage work, lighting adjustments, and various structural repairs district-wide. The committee also reviewed ongoing current projects, including athletic field repairs, roof drain maintenance, acoustic panel installation, and energy savings studies. Upcoming projects were outlined, such as grease trap cleanings, locker replacements, asphalt sealing, lighting improvements, and various safety-related upgrades. Work request statistics for open and resolved items across all district facilities were presented. Additionally, the committee discussed miscellaneous items, including a reimbursement for scoreboard repairs, a potential grant for an enclosed walkway, gym floor refinishing, and a facility use request by the Meadville K9 unit.
