This document outlines the Catalina Foothills School District's K-12 Gifted Education Programming Framework. It is structured around six standards: Program Design, Curriculum and Instruction, Screening and Identification, Guidance & Counseling, Professional Development, and Program Administration and Evaluation. The framework aims to provide comprehensive, differentiated services to gifted learners, ensuring intellectual and personal excellence, and preparing them for college and career pathways through tailored instruction, ongoing identification, social-emotional development support, professional growth for staff, and robust program evaluation.

The governing board addressed concerns about limited time for social studies and advanced math students' schedules. They approved various items on the consent agenda, including expense vouchers, field trip requests, fund raising requests, gifts and donations, personnel matters, district evaluators, community schools tax credit eligible fees, the opening of a new bank account, and the award of an architectural proposal for an expansion project. The board also discussed revisions to policies regarding the qualifications and duties of the superintendent and reviewed the superintendent's proposed performance goals for 2014-2015, covering areas such as strategic plan implementation, human resources, academic standards, response to intervention, alumni relations, public relations, and elections. Additionally, they approved a delegate and alternate delegate to the ASBA Delegate Assembly.

The governing board meeting included recognition of outstanding achievements by students and staff at Catalina Foothills High School, Orange Grove Middle School, and Manzanita Elementary School. The board also honored the committee members of FRIENDS for their community-based campaign efforts. The board reviewed and approved the 2014-2015 calendar and had an initial review of the 2015-2016 calendar. Additionally, a public hearing was held on the revision of the FY 2014 budget, followed by the approval of the budget revisions.

The governing board meeting included an executive session regarding the CFSD v. LPPOA Litigation, followed by a motion to authorize a cross appeal in the same litigation. The board also conducted a strategic planning session, reviewing and reworking goal statements and shared core value statements for the ENVISION21: Deep Learning strategic plan for 2014-2020. An additional executive session was held to discuss the Superintendent's Performance Evaluation.

The governing board meeting included a super volunteer recognition, public comments regarding concerns about RFP No. 14-03-19A for Non-Wireless Data, Voice and Internet, and action on proposed revisions to Policy JIH Student Interrogations, Searches, and Arrests, and Policy IIB Class Size. The board also discussed reframing CFSD's system for learning in the 21st century and a report of the Pima County Board and Superintendent Collaborative.
