Orange County Board Of Supervisors Regular Meeting
The meeting featured extensive public comment regarding the development of data centers within the county. Key concerns raised by constituents included the impact of high-voltage transmission lines on the rural nature of the community, potential health and environmental consequences, and the perceived lack of transparency in the planning and approval process for technology districts. Citizens urged the Board to impose a pause on new data center applications to prioritize meaningful public participation, protect property values, and ensure that land-use policies align with the comprehensive plan.
