The Board conducted a Regular Action Meeting that included student performance recognition, enrollment reporting, and a review of state assessments for bullying. Key organizational actions included the adoption of official newspapers, establishing meeting schedules, the appointment of various district officers and representatives, and the approval of financial depositories and signatories. The Board also addressed policies regarding facility use, fee schedules for public documents, independent educational evaluations, and approved several multi-year plans and manuals. Administrative, business, and personnel-related actions were reviewed, including agreements for Third Party Administration services and various consulting engagements, alongside discussions in closed session regarding personnel, HIB summaries, and collective bargaining negotiations.

The board conducted a public hearing and final adoption of the 2026-2027 school year budget, which included revenue and appropriation adjustments. Other business included an HIB matter appeal and resolution, approval of various 2026-2027 staff contracts, and authorization of several capital projects such as a wireless communication network upgrade, locker replacements, and bleacher replacements. Additionally, the board approved curriculum site license renewals, the purchase of student transportation vehicles, a roof replacement change order, and a systemic change application for a preschool project. Presentations were provided on the lunch program and end-of-year goals.

The district's goals focus on evaluating individual student learning loss and addressing academic gaps using standards-based data and targeted action plans. Concurrently, the district aims to employ strategies and resources to support the social and emotional wellness of both students and staff. Furthermore, it plans to utilize its tiered response to intervention model to systematically address students' cognitive, affective, and behavioral needs.

This plan outlines the Manalapan-Englishtown Regional Schools' strategy for a safe return to in-person instruction and continuity of services, developed in response to the Federal American Rescue Plan Act. Key focus areas include maintaining health and safety through mitigation strategies such as optional mask policies, physical distancing, handwashing, cleaning, and contact tracing. Additionally, the plan ensures continuity of academic, social, emotional, and mental health services, along with food services, and incorporates processes for public comment and regular revisions through September 2024.
