The 2020-2025 Strategic Plan for Leech Lake Tribal College centers around five strategic priorities: enhancing academic programs, preserving Anishinaabe culture, strengthening community engagement, fostering professional development, and ensuring resource management. The plan aims to improve student success through enhanced learning support, increase retention, implement a comprehensive academic assessment plan, and develop an effective student advising model. Cultural preservation efforts focus on integrating Anishinaabe culture into campus life, increasing Ojibwe language use, and holding campus cultural events. Community engagement involves increasing community awareness and participation in college programs and events, and accessing land grant funding opportunities. Professional development initiatives include providing opportunities for faculty and staff, updating college policies, and establishing the college as the central Institutional Review Board for the Leech Lake tribal government. Resource management focuses on safeguarding college assets, securing grant funding, and implementing an effective marketing and recruitment strategy.
