The commission received a presentation from the Legends Hall and Hospitality Sales Division regarding venue operations, booking procedures, and renovation efforts. Members reviewed and discussed a recommendation letter in support of Keep Southlake Beautiful's continued Gold Status with Keep Texas Beautiful. Following the closure of YAC Summit registration, the group explored alternatives, including the possibility of hosting a future Life Skills conference for youth boards. Additionally, members were briefed on an upcoming family trip to Washington, D. C. focused on government education.

The council discussed various items including the celebration of the city's 70th anniversary, adopted the 2025 Tarrant County Hazard Mitigation Action Plan, and approved the preliminary plat for Trademark Southlake. An electric utility service agreement was authorized, and several items were tabled. The council also held public hearings and approved ordinances to amend the city code concerning the Capital Improvements Advisory Committee and to establish new parking restrictions on Bordeaux Drive and Ascot Drive. Additionally, the council approved a preliminary plat for Dove Ridge Addition and authorized contract amendments for the City Manager and City Secretary following executive sessions.

The board discussed several operational and programming topics, including the implementation of new partner programs such as AARP Tax Aide and Mahjong Mondays, as well as the ongoing CISD student art exhibition. Members reviewed the upcoming library website redesign project, which aims to improve the calendar feature and streamline digital services. The librarian provided a performance report for digital and print collections, noting shifts in usage patterns for audiobooks and eBooks, and discussed potential budget considerations for resource optimization. Additional topics included challenges with volunteer retention, a recent safety incident involving a criminal trespass, updates on the Library Foundation's recent activities, and preliminary discussions regarding the potential future use of the Durham Intermediate school property for a new library facility.

The board received a staff presentation concerning referral information for Teen Court and Youth Diversion programs. Additionally, the board discussed and implemented changes to scholarship interview questions and reviewed upcoming program dates.

The commission held elections for the positions of Vice-Chair and Secretary. Discussion items included fiscal year 2025 updates provided by the Senior Activity Center, Metroport Meals on Wheels, and Call a Ride Southlake. Additionally, the commission received a presentation regarding potential new developments in Southlake, reviewed proposed guest speakers for the upcoming year, and discussed the schedule for meetings throughout the year.
