City Council of the City of Rock Hill Special Session
The City Council conducted a special session that included an executive session for legal advice on property negotiations and intergovernmental agreements. The meeting featured the presentation of the Powerful Minds and Brother David Boone Memorial scholarships. The Council approved various ordinances including those concerning airport fees, utility deposits, an equipment lease purchase agreement, property disposition, right-of-way grants, zoning amendments, solid waste and sewer rates, and the budget/work program for the upcoming fiscal year. Additionally, the Council approved resolutions for economic development incentives regarding Project Palmetto Rock, the closing of Cowan Farm Road and an alley adjacent to Neal Street, a memorandum of understanding with Peverall Stone Sculpture, the appointment of a new City Attorney, and the appropriation of retained earnings. The Council also voted to cancel all meetings for the month of July.
