The Village Council meeting agenda included reports from village officials, committee reports (Parks, Playgrounds and Recreation; Finance; Legislation; Police, Fire and Health; Streets, Public Buildings & Grounds; Sewer, Water & Public Utilities), and the reading of resolutions and ordinances. Key topics involved confirming appointments of firefighters and police officers, approving the closure of the parks disc golf course, authorizing payments for auditing services and OPWC loan reimbursements, authorizing building removal, and approving street improvements and sewer separation projects. The meeting included the first reading of Resolution No. 17-15, confirming the appointment of Kyle Johnson as a fulltime firefighter. An executive session was held to discuss the appointment of a public employee, and a councilperson was appointed to the Planning Commission.

The 2021-2025 Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) for the Village of Crestline focuses on attracting, expanding, and retaining businesses; revitalizing the downtown area; ensuring a high quality of life for residents and businesses; and supporting a skilled workforce. Key strategies include developing annexed land, upgrading infrastructure (wastewater treatment plant, water and sewer lines), creating capital improvement plans, fostering business communication, increasing retail and food establishments downtown, stimulating site development, enhancing downtown infrastructure, recruiting housing developers, adding recreational amenities, improving village aesthetics, boosting community involvement, improving school quality, implementing career pathways, and strengthening employer-education partnerships. The plan aims to address weaknesses such as aging infrastructure, low income levels, and workforce challenges, while leveraging strengths like community spirit, low cost of living, and transportation access. The CEDS incorporates an evaluation framework to measure progress and includes an overview of potential funding sources and initiatives.
