Kentucky Statewide Communication Interoperability Plan 2024-2026
This one-to-three-year strategic planning document for Kentucky aims to significantly improve and maintain public safety communications and interoperability across the Commonwealth. It outlines a roadmap focusing on key pillars: enhancing governance through updated legislation, training, and policy; advancing technology by promoting P25 standards, ensuring full spectrum interoperability, deploying Next Generation 911, expanding broadband access, and assessing alerts and warnings capabilities; improving cybersecurity posture for emergency communication systems; and establishing sustainable statewide funding.
