The board meeting covered several key administrative and operational items. The board approved school academic calendars for the 2027 through 2030 school years. Additional staffing requests were approved, including adaptive cluster teachers, an intervention specialist, a secretary, a literacy aid, a special education aid, and a speech language pathologist. The board approved an intergovernmental agreement with Pima County Joint Technical Education District, authorized the 2026-2027 expenditure budget, and approved a reorganization plan for the transportation department focused on management structure and operational efficiencies. Finally, the board formally approved the Blueprint 2030 strategic plan.

The board provided direction to legal counsel regarding litigation discussed in executive session. Additionally, the board discussed future meeting scheduling and moved to adjourn the proceedings.

The board conducted a special meeting to address new business, which consisted of a motion to move into an executive session.

The board meeting included several key presentations and actions. Recognitions were given to retiring district employees and the district's Employees of the Year in teaching, support staff, and exempt roles. Public remarks included updates from Youth on Their Own regarding dropout prevention and student success stories, as well as comments from the Morirana Education Association regarding the ratification of a new negotiation agreement. The governing board approved compensation packages for staff and tentative agreements with the Morirana Education Association and the Morirana Education Support Professionals. Additionally, a presentation was provided on the fiscal year 2024-2025 audit.
