This Digital Modernization and Corporate-wide Customer Service Strategy serves as a roadmap for transforming the City of North Bay into a customer-focused, digitally-enabled municipality. The plan outlines six workstreams: Customer Forward, Digital Solutions, Business Solutions, Foundational Technology, Governance, and Delivery Capability and Capacity. Key objectives include making interactions with the City easy and consistent, expanding self-service digital options, resolving inquiries at the first point of contact, and modernizing back-office processes and technology. The strategy aims to improve customer and staff experiences, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure sustainable service delivery through phased implementation and continuous improvement.
The committee discussed a report regarding the proposed amendment of the Indemnification Policy. A specific clause regarding retroactive application was removed after discussion, resolving a conflict of interest declared by a member. No other items were addressed by the Community Services or Infrastructure and Operations Committees.
