The 2024-2025 ACIP Plan for Escambia County Middle School focuses on creating a safe, rigorous, and engaging learning environment that fosters responsible, resourceful, and respectful lifelong learners. The plan emphasizes four key areas: Culture and Climate (positive relationships and communication), Students and Learning (rigorous and engaging instruction aligned with state standards across all three tiers of intervention), Professional Learning (support and development for teachers and staff), and Resources for Learning (equitable access to resources to support student success). Key initiatives include improving communication, building stakeholder partnerships, implementing high-quality instruction, providing differentiated instruction, offering professional development opportunities, aligning resources to increase attendance and decrease discipline, and ensuring equitable access to technology and career and technical education. Outcomes will be measured through various metrics including report card grades, assessment data, professional learning completion rates, attendance data, discipline referrals, and resource utilization.

The board meeting covered various topics including an update on bond financing, review of the 2020-21 Code of Conduct, and information on the cancelled Whole Board Training. The board also received updates on the Alabama's Supplemental Food Benefits P-EPT Program, a national school lunch program partnership with Baylor University, and information related to the Coronavirus health crisis. A review of the monthly financial statement was presented, and the board tabled the 2020-21 Student Code of Conduct. Personnel matters were discussed in executive session, including resignations, retirements, employment changes, and non-renewals/transfers for the 2020-21 school year. The next board meeting was scheduled.
