The commission reviewed three main agenda items: a small subdivision plan for a property on Golf Club Road, a replot of land for a property on Thomas Road, and an amendment to a land development plan for Marquette Savings Bank involving the demolition of a former pizza restaurant to create additional parking. Mill Creek Township Zoning Hearing Board Zoning Hearing Board Meeting
The board addressed two variance requests. The first appeal involved a property at 5630 Larchmont Drive, where applicants requested a dimensional variance from the flood plain ordinance to allow the installation of an above-ground pool and deck within a 50-foot setback of the top of the bank. The second appeal involved a dental clinic at 5942 Peach Street, where the applicant requested a variance from zoning regulations regarding sign size. The applicant argued that the current 24-square-foot limitation was insufficient given the property's limited street frontage and safety concerns, requesting approval for a 96-square-foot sign instead.
